Ayurvedic massage
The Ayurvedic massage is performed on the floor, with the use of oils, essential oils and mantras; the recipient wears bath clothing or possibly no clothes in the case of men. The oils help to stimulate the internal functions of the body while providing nourishment to different body tissues and lubrication to skin.
Ayurvedic massage involves sliding and pressing the hands and fingers all over the body, from head to feet; as well as stretches. The style and intensity of the massage depends on the individual's bodytype (doshas) and need for balance and well being at the time. We focus on the Marma points, which are similar to the pressure points in reflexology, acupuncture and acupressure.
The Ayurvedic massage helps to eliminate toxins, strengthens the muscle tone, relaxes and rejuvenates the body. This massage works both at the physical and mental level, as you will access information from your subconscious mind, leading to self knowledge and healing processes, which, if needed, can be discussed after the bodywork.
It is an intense type of massage with a high level of energy exchange between you and me. However, the intention is to heal and uplift the energy flow, while I work mere as a channel allowing the sacred and ancestral Ayurvedic science to reach you.
It is worth a try!
